Gabrielle Senn - Model and a REAL Singer by Jasmine Pierce

Today I had the pleasure of chatting with Gabrielle Senn, who can easily be described as a triple threat: model, singer, and actress. She started modeling when she was 16 with IMG.

She then went on to IMTA and won Actress and Singer of The Year, along with 2nd place for Model of the Year. There was no doubt that at 16 Gabrielle was on the brink of stardom. However, instead of being home schooled and working with IMG Paris, she chose to be a regular teenager and finish high school.

Post graduation, she signed with Shirley Graham Management, for whom she still works with while freelancing with other agencies. Gabrielle recently shot the Axe hair campaign which will be launching in December.

Among other things, she’s also had a role on Law and Order and recently did a commercial with Nick Cannon for Teen Nickelodeon. Right now, she’s hoping to focus more time on her singing career. She’s a singer song-writer who’s specialty is soul and R&B. Here’s what she had to say about her skyrocketing career…

JP: So your dream is to be a world renowned singer. How is modeling helping you to reach this goal?

Gabrielle: “Modeling helped to get my foot in the door. I started with IMG which helped me to meet Andy and Tommy Hilfiger, who wanted to recruit me for singing and modeling with the Hilfiger sessions.”

JP: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Gabrielle: “In the next 5 years I want to already have released my album. I just met with some executives at Motown, and I’m working on two songs with them.”

JP: What do you think is the hardest part about having a career in modeling/acting/singing?

Gabrielle: “Definitely time management. You have to always be ready for spontaneous moments, especially with acting and singing.”

JP: What advice would you give girls who are aspiring to have a career similar to yours?

Gabrielle: “Always be on your game and give it your all. Always smile. Even if you’re having a bad day, never let it show because really you’re selling yourself. It’s kind of like you’re your own manager.”

Be sure to look out for Gabrielle’s Axe campaign in the next few months- and we’ll keep you posted on her album release.
