Last night while doing the usual channel surfing, I stumbled upon the Victoria’s Secret commercial for their new Miraculous Push up Bra.
My first thought was “Damn, I really want one of those things.” Followed very closely by a “IS THAT CHANEL IMAN?!” She’s done a few spreads for Pink by Victoria’s Secret, but as of now she is one of 5 of the new Victoria’s Secret Angels.
Chanel, who is signed with Ford is joined by Emanuela de Paula of Marilyn, Lindsay Ellingson of Viva, Why Not, and DNA, Candice Swanepoel of Select, Why Not, and Ice, and Rosie Huntington- Whiteley of Women. Words cant describe how happy I am to see some new young faces! As we all know the current angels are Heidi, Adriana, Alessandra, Miranda, Marissa, and Doutzen.
With the 2009 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show filming in New York City on November 19th, and Heidi and Adriana on maternity leave, its only natural that they would find replacements to fit the bill. Not everyone can walk a blinding glittery runway in lingerie with massive amounts of feathers attached to their backs. But something tells me these 5 new angels will have no problem filling their shoes.
To add a little more spice to this years show Victoria’s Secret held a nation-wide model search for a “real girl” to walk in the show. Personally I’m a little skeptical, but only time will tell if the aspiring model has Angel potential. Check your local listings to find out when the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air in your area, because Heidi’s hosting, and I don’t know about you but I definitely won't miss that.
